About Us
What We Do
Monuments For All strengthens public demand and policymaker support for current and new national monuments in partnership with a coalition of over 100 national, regional, and local organizations.
As a program of the Conservation Lands Foundation, Monuments For All supports campaigns to protect and defend national monuments and conservation tools like the Antiquities Act.
National Monuments: A Legacy Worth Protecting
National monuments protect our water, our ways of life, wildlife habitat, and ways of life, preserving the beauty and history that define us. These sacred landscapes and treasured sites reflect the diversity of cultures, communities, and ecosystems that have shaped our nation. They tell stories of resilience, honor, and connection — stories that are deeply woven into the fabric of America.
Since 1906, the Antiquities Act has empowered presidents from both parties to protect these invaluable places from being sold off to private interests, ensuring that they remain accessible for future generations. This essential tool ensures that our most significant public lands and waters remain intact and accessible for fishing, hiking, camping, and cultural practices that have sustained communities for generations.
But these protections are not guaranteed. As threats to public lands grow, we must take action to ensure national monuments remain protected. By joining local communities and amplifying our collective voice, we can keep national monuments and other precious places in the hands of the people. Together, we can protect these lands, waters, and stories so they continue to inspire and unite us for generations to come.
